Ofeux

Frequently asked questions

How Ofeux works — from trial and monitoring to alerts, team access, exports, and governed response.

Getting started

What is Ofeux?

Ofeux is AI-powered narrative intelligence for comms and reputation teams. It monitors people, brands, organisations, and topics across social platforms, surfaces forming narratives with corroboration, verifies claims against evidence, and supports governed responses — with mandatory approval, a full audit trail, and outcome measurement at 1h, 6h, and 24h.

Who is Ofeux for?

Communications directors, PR leads, crisis comms teams, and executives who need narrative-level visibility — not just mention counts. It suits organisations monitoring principals, brands, market assets, or live events such as elections and fast-moving news.

How is Ofeux different from mention monitoring tools?

Volume-first tools excel at alerts. Ofeux focuses on judgement: which posts matter, whether a story is actually forming, whether a claim holds up, whether you should respond, and whether your approved answer worked. Narratives escalate when independent voices converge — not from one isolated mention.

Do I need to install or host anything?

No. Ofeux is a cloud-based narrative intelligence platform. You sign in through the web app, connect the social accounts and alert channels you need, and configure profiles. There is no self-hosting or infrastructure to manage.

Free trial and activation

Is there a free trial?

Yes. You can start a free trial from the website — sign up and your workspace begins on trial status. Trial includes one live monitored profile so you can evaluate real data before commitment.

What is included in the trial?

Trial workspaces can monitor one custom profile with full narrative intelligence, analysis, alerts, and the approval workflow. A demo profile may also be available so you can explore the product before connecting your own handles. Team invites and additional profiles require workspace activation.

How do I add more profiles or invite my team?

Contact us to activate your organisation. Full activation unlocks additional profiles, team invites, plan-scale collection, and alert channels at your contracted limits. Pricing is tailored to your monitoring scope and team structure.

Can I book a demo instead of signing up?

Yes. Schedule a 30-minute walkthrough and we will show narrative escalation, claim verification, governed response, and outcome measurement on live or representative data. Executive demos are available in a shorter, outcomes-focused format.

Monitoring and controlled streaming

What does Ofeux monitor?

Profiles can represent individuals, organisations, brands, market assets, or topics (for events and crises). Each profile carries context your team defines so analysis stays grounded in your facts. Collection uses official platform APIs where available — currently X and Facebook for public posts.

What is controlled streaming?

Ofeux collects social data on a schedule you control — we call this the streaming schedule. Organisation admins set how often collection runs (from every 30 minutes to every 12 hours), choose a preset mode (Continuous, Balanced, or Efficient), and optionally restrict collection to active hours and days in your timezone.

Can I pause collection for a profile?

Yes. Admins can suspend and resume collection per profile from the streaming schedule view. Per-profile frequency overrides are also available when a principal needs tighter or lighter coverage than the organisation default.

Does collection speed up automatically during a crisis?

Yes. You set the baseline streaming schedule, but Ofeux adapts in the background: polling tightens when a narrative is hot or an alert is active, and eases off after quiet or empty runs so you stay responsive without unnecessary noise or cost.

Can I backfill history when onboarding a new profile?

Yes. Admins can import recent post history for a profile so you are not blind to context that predates go-live. This is useful when connecting a new principal or catching up after activation.

How does Ofeux reduce noise?

Analysis distinguishes posts directed at your subject from passing mentions. Homonyms and off-topic chatter are filtered before they dominate your view. Narratives require corroboration — independent accounts converging on a theme — before they escalate.

Narrative intelligence

What is a narrative in Ofeux?

A narrative is a forming or active story — not a single post. Ofeux tracks lifecycle states (forming, active, mutating, fading, resolved), velocity and reach, impact across relevant domains, and the actors driving the conversation.

What is claim verification?

When a post on a narrative contains a verifiable statement, Ofeux flags it and checks against open sources. Comms and leadership can see evidence before repeating a rumour internally or externally.

Can I monitor an event without a spokesperson?

Yes. Topic profiles are built for crises, elections, and fast-moving news. They use event-appropriate impact domains and do not generate response drafts — there is no forced spokesperson voice where none exists.

What is social intelligence?

For each narrative, Ofeux surfaces who is hostile, who is supportive, and which themes dominate — with labels adapted to profile type and context (for example, opposition vs endorsement for elections, distress vs solidarity for humanitarian events).

What analysis signals help prioritise posts?

Each post is assessed for directed-at-subject relevance, sentiment, risk, influence and credibility (reach, verification, engagement), and misinformation likelihood. That keeps homonyms, passing mentions, and low-signal noise out of your default view — see also “How does Ofeux reduce noise?” above.

Alerts

What triggers an alert?

Alerts fire when analysis and your configured rules identify something that needs attention — for example high-risk posts directed at your subject, narrative escalation, or collection issues. Alerts are designed for action, not every mention.

Where can alerts be delivered?

In the product alert inbox, and — when configured — via email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, webhooks, WhatsApp, or Facebook Messenger. Channel availability depends on your plan and activation status.

Can my team acknowledge and track alerts?

Yes. Alerts can be acknowledged in the dashboard so your team knows what has been seen and handled. Acknowledgements are recorded in the audit trail.

How do I avoid alert fatigue?

Ofeux prioritises narratives and directed-at-subject risk over raw volume. Corroboration thresholds mean you act on convergent signal, not one stray post. Streaming frequency and profile context further tune how much reaches your inbox.

Team management and roles

How does team access work?

Each organisation has its own workspace. Users sign in with email; owners and admins invite colleagues once the workspace is activated. All data is scoped to your organisation — cross-organisation access is blocked.

What roles are available?

Owner, admin, and manager. Owners have full control including credential management and profile deletion. Admins manage users, streaming, integrations, and approvals. Managers have profile-scoped access for day-to-day monitoring and can export reports; publishing approvals sit with owners and admins (or managers explicitly granted publish access on specific profiles).

Can I limit who sees which profiles?

Yes. Managers can be granted access to specific profiles only, so sensitive principals stay visible to the people who need them.

Is there an audit log?

Yes. Profile changes, alert acknowledgements, draft approvals, rejections, refinements, and publishes are recorded in an append-only audit log. Owners and admins can review it for accountability after the fact.

Governed response

Does Ofeux auto-publish responses?

No. When a narrative warrants a response, Ofeux drafts suggested copy for human review. Nothing publishes without approver sign-off. Auto-post to your connected official accounts only runs after explicit approval.

Which accounts can publish?

Approved responses can go live from your organisation's connected official X and Facebook accounts — in your voice, on channels your audience already trusts. Scheduling, refinement with guidance, and canned response libraries are supported.

How do you measure whether a response worked?

After an approved post goes live, Ofeux tracks sentiment and narrative momentum at 1 hour, 6 hours, and 24 hours — so you know whether the answer landed, not just that it was sent.

What about SLAs?

Drafts show SLA visibility and routing hints so urgent responses do not sit unnoticed in the approval queue. SLA configuration is available per profile.

Reports and export

Can I export data for leadership or compliance?

Yes. Authorised users can generate exports from the Reports area and download narrative intelligence summaries as PDF from the Intelligence view. Exports cover your organisation's data only.

What formats are available?

Post-level reports are available as CSV or PDF for a selected period (7, 30, 90, or 365 days), for one profile or all profiles. Intelligence summaries export as PDF with narrative metrics, risk breakdowns, and briefing-ready context.

Who can download reports?

Owners, admins, and managers with the download report capability. Sensitive exports stay with roles that need them.

Integrations and security

Which integrations does Ofeux support?

For comms workflows: Slack, Microsoft Teams, webhooks, and alert delivery via email, WhatsApp, and Messenger where configured. For builders and BI: organisation-scoped integration tokens and a read-only Data API (narratives, alerts, posts, claims, and signals) with scoped access per token. Tokens and third-party connections are managed in organisation settings by authorised admins.

How are credentials stored?

Social API tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). Encryption keys are held in secure environment configuration, not in the database. Sign-in uses organisation-scoped sessions with role-based enforcement on every request.

Where is my data processed?

Ofeux is operated by QaudFesh Technologies Ltd as a hosted service. Subprocessors and transfer safeguards are described in our privacy policy. Enterprise documentation — security questionnaires, DPA, subprocessors list — is available on request during procurement.

Pricing and support

How is Ofeux priced?

Pricing is tailored to your profiles, users, collection scope, and requirements. Contact us for a quote — there is no one-size-fits-all public price list because monitoring scope varies widely between organisations.

How do I get help?

Email us or schedule a demo. During evaluation we can walk through governance requirements, integration setup, and procurement documentation.
